Håkon's Art and Photo Prints

Limited edition prints of both artwork and photos are now available, and possible to purchase via my online PayPal shopping cart.

Prints will also be possible to look at and purchase at the shop Nordbye Kunst & Hobby in Bergen, Norway. A small selection will always be available there.

All prints are printed with lightfast pigmented inks on acid-free, cotton-based paper containing no optical bleachers or brighteners (Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl).

My choice of paper was primarily based on its solid blacks, vivid colours and a sheen to the surface that I find more pleasing than the papers that are all matt or all glossy.

No more than 50 prints will ever be made of each artwork in the 30x40 and 40x50 limited editions. Numbered on the lower left and signed at the bottom right in silver on a black border sized to make the prints look great when framed in a standard frame without a mat.

In addition, some pictures will be made available in what I call a "max print" size, using as much of an A2 paper (42x59.4cm) as possible with only a few millimetres of unprinted border in the limiting dimension as well as enough room for the signature and print numbering at the bottom.

No more than 5 max prints of each artwork will ever be made.

A2 Max Print (Edition of 5) €200
40x50 Print (Edition of 50) €75
30x40 Print (Edition of 50) €50

When an image has different proportions from the frame size it is printed for, this will also be accounted for in larger black edges around the picture so that, when the white bits are cut away, it will still fit the standard frames.

Below are the different print sizes compared for an image with the most common proportions (3:4), showing the full paper sizes, A2 (42x59.4cm) for the two prints on the left and A3 (29.7x42cm) for the picture on the right.

Shipping on single-print orders or orders for originals amounting to less than 100 euros will be charged according to actual cost. This might vary depending on recipient location, but my PayPal shopping cart will automatically add 30 euros for shipping. Shipping to anywhere in the world will never amount to more than that, but if it comes to less, the difference will be refunded upon dispatching the order.

Note that due to different calibrations of different screens there will probably be colour inaccuracies from the way a picture looks on the website compared to the prints.

My aim is to make prints that are pleasing, and I feel that for most of my pictures, a utopic 100% colour accuracy is not really needed. That said, I feel I have found the printer settings that certainly make the prints look almost identical to what I see on my own screen.
